Description

Got a 4.3" backup monitor for x-mas for my Runner. While I was attempting to rotate the original back mount with the sticky pad it broke in two. At that point I decided to make my own system. The cigarette lighter needs to be gutted down to the clear and white plastic ring (pic) which holds the metal tube that holds the lighter part...the mount goes in that part. This allows the wires to be fed through the mount and to the behind the dash. The mount has a few parts. The "ring" is a keyed ring that contours the cl recess to lessen the chance of rotation. The "adapter post" mounts inside the screen. This takes place of the factory mount. You'll need to open up the screen and take out the original and put this in it's place. "st" is a mini ring that goes over the outside of the adapter pin and locks that in place to keep from rotating. The mount has a 40* angle up. Although this is for a specific screen... https://www.amazon.com/Mirror-Foldable-Rearview-Monitor-Screen/dp/B01D9YSSPM/ref=sr_1_1?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1481995292&sr=1-1&keywords=backup+camera+monitor&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A7014926011...it may work with others, or at least give you some ideas and a starting point for your mount...
