martin check (cwf95gsx)A rear parcel-shelf speaker adapter designed, printed, installed and tested by the source creator in their 1981 BMW 320i E21. It uses the factory 4x6-inch mounting points to fit most 6.5-inch speakers without cutting new holes. The creator notes that speakers with larger magnets may need additional clearance and that secure mounting remains installer-dependent. The verified CC BY 4.0 source archive contains one printable STL, one matching design render and one installed physical photo. Other 320 variants, model years, BMW chassis and parcel-shelf revisions are not included.
Speaker-installation safety warning: interior audio adapter only. Confirm the vehicle is a 1981 BMW 320i E21 with the same factory 4x6 rear-shelf mounting points before printing. Measure the 6.5-inch speaker basket and magnet, rear-shelf contour, factory holes, rear-glass clearance and wiring path. Use cabin-heat- and UV-resistant material, the factory mounting points and securely retained hardware; do not drill, cut or weaken the parcel shelf. Insulate and strain-relieve speaker wiring, preserve rear visibility and keep the adapter, speaker and fasteners from becoming loose projectiles. Remove the installation if it cracks, warps, loosens, rattles, chafes wiring or interferes with safe operation.
