Published material guidance; still check heat, UV, load, and printer compatibility.
A planning starting point only; wall count, orientation, and geometry often matter more than infill.
Choose the needed variant, then slice it for grams, cost, and print time.
Saved setup guidance is used for material, infill, support, and per-file recommendation text; editable numbers are planning estimates only.

3DPrintedCarPartDescription
FILE RECOMMENDED FOR FDM: Please use the adjusted sleeve files when printing with an FDM printer. They will generally let the nut slip in better and put less stress on the part. The other adjusted part may work as well but it usually isn't as easy to use. Thanks for downloading! UPDATE Shrinkage became an issue when making this project on FDM printers. New models have been added as a result. The sleeve adjusted models have an additional 0.4mm added to the diameter of the hex nut of the already adjusted models for ease of installation but may require epoxy when printing. The plainly adjusted models however, are built with a 1 mm adjustment to allow for shrinkage to not be an issue. Please use either of these shrink adjusted top and bottom files for better results and easier assembly if using a FDM printer. If you want a 60mm version instead of a 50mm version of this please go to my other design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2467630 This is the smaller version of a previous design that I based off of the remix of the WRX Shift Knob originally created by WillsWorld and remixed by Dingoboy71. This design incorporates the reverse lockout design meant for STIs while being at a 50mm diameter. I used Fusion 360 as well as hand measurements off of the original print to redesign this by handing customize it to my liking. Changes: Changed the logo to be the STI logo and altered the position of the hex nut to be between both the top and bottom pieces to improve strength. Purchase the hardware that is required below and put it together! Hardware required: (1) m12 x 1.25 thread pitch Nylock nut. (6) m3 x 20 (or 25) mm hex bolts (6) m3 x.5mm Nylock nuts. (1) Tube of super glue or epoxy. *Nylock nuts recommended are recommended by Dingoboy71. It is stated that you could use Loc-Tite but he recommends that you pay close attention to choosing the right variant or else you may permanently weld [it] to your car.".
