June 2019 DESCRIPTION: I created this mount for my Z4 soft top motor. It is a very precise fit to the motor base cylinder and has 4 holes in the bottom to mount to the back wall of the trunk to keep the motor vertical and the reservoir at the top so the system can automatically purge air as it runs. There are two holes in the top of each wing so zip ties can be used to secure the motor. USE TWO ZIP TIES! Beta testing was very successful but showed that over time, under hot summer temperatures, the mount will flex if only one zip tie is used. Testers who used two zip ties reported 100% success and their beta mounts are still in use over a year later. USE: Use at your own risk and discretion. Best if the base is screwed to metal to hold the motor firmly when it runs.
