B&O Amplifier for Audi B8 Models Cover Kit (and more)

This is a set of parts designed to hold a small plexiglass sheet over the B&O amp in my 2009 B8 Audi A5 3.2 Quattro. There is a known design flaw where older models can have small leak that can lead to occasional drops over water reaching back to the amp and falling onto it. This happens enough and it's going to fry your $1800 amp. You can usually get them repaired for less but who wants to deal with the hassle? This will cost you a couple bucks and keep your amp dry. The parts include a clip to hold the plexi sheet (I used 2), a gutter piece designed to be glued to the lower edge of the plexi to catch any excess water that might trickle down (use however many you need, (maybe funnel the water on the top of the plexi down to only 2 or 3 so it drains off to a safe location) a "prop" designed to mount on the opposite side of the amp and keep the plexi propped at an angle, and a fan mount, of which you will need two. You can mount those at whatever position will hold the size of fan you have (designed for computer fans, but you could probably mount other kinds). The fan is to ensure the cover doesn't compromise the cooling effectivity of the amplifier housing (its a giant heatsink, that's why we have the fins we are clipping onto.) Last but not least, I would recommend applying glue to the plexi and the clips as you install and let sit over night (like JB Weld or something) that way it won't shake apart while you drive. You may need to glue the fan and pieces together before installing it too. Hope this helps someone out there!
