Camaro (mostly) license plate frame

I originally created this for a Chevrolet Super Sport pickup truck but then adapted the badging for my 2017 (50th anniversary but not an "H50" special model) Camaro. The pieces will bond together easily using ABS cement or ABS juice assuming that you make it from ABS. You can also smooth things out quite a lot using acetone vapor polishing if made from ABS. I designed it in two halves so it will fit onto smaller printer beds and can also be printed a piece at a time if you wish. As originally designed the text/trim plates serve both as adornments and also as bonding strips to strengthen the assembly. The original clear-coated pickup truck version has been installed for over three years now and has held up perfectly in the sun and weather. The Camaro version shown in the photos has held up for well over a year with no signs of hardening or cracking. It is also clear-coated with VHT "wheel clear" (a UV-protectant paint). I usually find it easier to paint the text and logo as insets rather than to paint them as protrusions. A word of note- This frame will fit standard 6"x12" North American license plates snugly, so you need to be careful and adjust your slicer settings to compensate for material shrinkage, particularly if using ABS. For example, I scaled the pieces at 1.02x with my printer and ABS filament. Yours may vary. I suggest printing only a half with your settings to check the fit and then adjust as needed before printing everything else. Supports are only needed on the frame halves if you print them outer-face-up. Personally I flip them over so the flat faces are against the print bed. That way no supports are necessary.
