Description

Hello, as I am not satisfied with the solutions for a mobile phone cradle available on the market, I have now designed one myself. I was inspired by the cup holder, which can be screwed to the downtube. The two original screws can be reused. Because of the good experience in my last car I decided to use a HR-Design mobile phone holder, which is either screwed to the 3D printed part by means of an adapter or simply fixed with double-sided adhesive tape. You can buy this for about 10€ e.g. on Amazon. There are two possibilities to screw the adapter plate: 1: M4 thread insert into the holes provided for it 2: Insert M4 nuts into the recess on the back. There is also a tab underneath the mobile phone holder in which you can hang your AUX cable or charging cable so that they are not located somewhere in the footwell but directly under the smartphone. As material I would use something with a higher heat resistance than PLA, e.g: PETG, ABS, ASA etc. Summer temperatures inside the vehicle can be up to 66°C or higher.
