Description

Since my BMW 118d did not come with a cup holder and the 3rd party cup holders to put into the louvers where not particularly pretty or stable enough to hold heavier mugs, I decided to design and printed one myself. The model should work for all BMW 1 Series with this kind of center console and the steering wheel on the left side I guess. I also added a coin holder for shopping carts with a 50 Cents (€) coin in mind. The model is split into two parts to compensate for my small build volume. I printed the model on the photos in PLA what is sufficient for the cold temperatures right now but I guess for a better resistance to higher temperatures in summer I will have to print it again in something more heat resistant like PETG. There was a little bit of under-extrusion going on at the bottom part in one spot as you can see on the picture (light spot) but I am ok with that since I have to reprint it again in summer anyway. I installed the model by simply adding some double sided tape underneath it and it holds up rock solid so far.
