Description

When the 3rd of 4 OEM wheel caps fell out of my 2003 Dodge Durango, I felt that this would be a fun 3D project to take on. This design has a slightly raised ram emblem on it, and is rounded similar to the original design. I think you'll agree that this looks a ton better than the empty hole I had (and see all over town). I hope it helps you out as well. I printed some successfully without rafts, but my final ones all had rafts as the black filament I was using wasn't adhering to the hot bed as well as the white prototypes. 1) I have the bottom connected in a ring to make it more solid during printing, once removed, you need to cut the small connection between the tabs so they can flex as they're pressed into the wheel opening. 2) I printed in black (other colors could be interesting... neon anyone?) and painted that raised ram image with a metallic paint, and then clear coated the entire cap prior to popping into the wheel of my truck. These fit my 2003 Dodge Durango. Per postings on the internet, they should fit other vehicles as well... (I cannot guarantee, so print one and try it).
