3DPrintedCarPartDescription
!Thingiverse doesn't show all the parts in the preview, but the download folder does contain all the parts! The 'Cup' part of the phoneholder which goes into the cupholder is split into two parts, which can be glued together. It is split into two parts so they can both be printed without supports, I suggest using 4 or more walls and a 0.16 or lower layer height for the best result. The only part that needs supports is the phone holder part itself, which are very easy to remove afterwards. I recommend ironing the top layer of the phone holder for a nice smooth finish. I have designed the phone holder specifically for my own Samsung s7 with its case, but I'm sure it would fit a lot of other phones as well when you upscale/downscale the STL a bit. This isn't a problem since the phonecase is glued to the ramp anyways. I'm happy with my design and it's functionality. I always had trouble with charging my phone in the car since the charger always came loose and I had to ask someone to hold my phone, now that is a problem of the past. It's very easy to slide your phone into the holder, and it plugs in instantly. Be sure to hit me up for questions or when you encounter a problem with the print.
