Description

Wanted a cheap mount that I could install in the factory tow hitch location on my vehicle. This applies to a 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata but could very easily work for other vehicles as well. Model was printed on a Prusa i3 Mark II using ABS. This mount is also designed so that it can remain attached to the tow hitch and just install the whole thing in the tow location at once. First, I purchased a cheap tow hitch here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-RACING-FRONT-REAR-TOW-TOWING-HOOK-SCREW-ALUMINUM-T2-FOR-MAZDA-2-5-6-RX-8/131614455314?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I then purchased a nut from McMaster, although any M20, 2.5mm, 30mm wide nut should do. This was so that the mount could stick a little further out on the vehicle so that it would not rub on the paint during installation. https://www.mcmaster.com/#93935a365/=1cdunai You will also need a basic nut to press fit into one side of the gopro mount. Typical generic size that is used for gopro mounts. I already had one lying around and if you have a mix of small nuts at home you probably do to. Seems pretty sturdy. Below is a link to a video for an example of it in use. https://youtu.be/-ZEW72ZhOSc
