Description

28-05-2019 - Hmmmmmm!! Trimming the cd slot section needs to be WAY more drastic - those damned CD sensors! OK, need a bit of a rethink, I'll post a new version when it's ready. Sorry.:( _________________________________________________________________________ 26-05-2019 - Rework No.2 Fits together great, bumps on the top not as effective as I expected, 2 versions of CD Slot mount now revised - one version - V3 - now, the previous caused my CD player to try sucking the holder in. Notched the sides now so it shouldn't hit the sensors. Bobble on the top slightly too high (and forward) so the whole thing sits a bit too proud. Updated the files but I'll be manually fettling my print until it works - then I'll cross check against the.STL. THEN (and only then) will I print in PET-G and finally remove the WIP flag. Thanks. _________________________________________________________________________ 25-05-2019 - Rework No.1 Reshaped the phone holder section for ease of print, added nubs to locate it better (maybe). Changed CD Mount slot angle by 5 degrees - bottom of phone sits away from radio a bit. Extended the CD slot part - and knocked up another. Both have centralised raised sections to hopefully locate it a bit better in the radio cut-out. These changes may make an OK holder quite a good one. Again, I'll update and change when I know if it works. Pics of the printed part and fitment once it's sorted. _________________________________________________________________________ 25-05-2019 Quick edit - It does work, kinda, but i'm going to rework the rear to give better support and flatten it for ease of print. To be uploaded later. _________________________________________________________________________ A quick(ish) remix of seajseven's holder - the 3 parts whacked together (because supports cause me no problems) and with a slot-in 'CD' section to delicately hold it in the Hyundai i30 GD (Elantra for our US cousins). It's based on a phone with a slim case fitted - because I can't be bothered to take it off all the time. It's a WIP and is being printed in PLA right now to see if it fits. I might have the angle reversed....... In the morning I will pop it off the printer and test it out - adjust as necessary - and report back. Enjoy (the wait)...
