Description

DIY Jeep Wrangler Door hanger/holder bushing for a 1/4 eye lag bolt. I go this idea from the youtube video linked below. I loved the simple idea but didn't like that the door would be riding on the metal of the eye bolt. So I designed this simple PLA bushing to go between the lag and the door hinge. It is designed to be hammered gently using a rubber mallet or something similar into the eye of the lag bolt. There is a lip on the print to keep it retained in the lag bolt so that when you remove the doors it stays. Feel free to adjust the file to fit your needs. This is a simple DIY way to store your Jeep doors without breaking the bank on a $100+ holders. You may have an exposed frame wall in your garage where you could simply pre-drill and install the eye bolts. But if not you'll need to figure out where you want them to hang and then design your wooden 2x4 frame, and then pre-drill and then install your eye lag bolts, then pop in my custom designed bushings, install it securely to the studs in the wall and DONE! Here's the link to the video that inspired this design --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5bjgis50Uo&lc=UgxSFxnuhgSUX5Zcy-R4AaABAg (And no thats not me in the video or pics, that's Eddie from Wayalife on Youtube) Make sure you understand the safe weight loads and weight bearing requirements while designing and installing this door holder/hanger. I am not responsible for any damages or injury that may occur to yourself and your property from using this print file or creating this DIY hanger. You are assuming all responsibility by using this 3d print file.
