3DPrintedCarPartDescription
Front door speaker adapter rings for Mini Cooper R50, R52, R54. This adapter will mount a 165mm speaker in all 1st Gen Mini Coopers. I decided to create this model after spending endless time searching the internet for a similar item. Many speaker adapters exist on this site and elsewhere but none seem to be designed for a Mini Cooper. The model was created such that the shape matches the original as closely as possible and the result fits perfectly in my car. The speakers that I mounted are JBL GX600C. Make sure you use foam sealing gaskets on both ends of the adapter to ensure a perfect seal between door and speaker. For the gasket between the door and my adapter I re-used the factory gasket that was behind my Harman Kardon speakers I replaced. For the gasket between adapter and new speakers I used the one that came with my JBL GX600C. A gasket with inner diameter 144mm and outer diameter 166mm would work perfectly on both ends.
