Description

The Vibe Powerbox 400.1m amp is tiny and can be installed in smaller spaces than larger, more traditional amps. On the SW20 MR2, some cars came with the premium sound system with subwoofer enclosures behind the seats and grills in front of them. This thing allows you to mount the Vibe amp where this grill would be... assuming you're not trying to power those stock enclosures, that is! I believe all SW20 chassis have the mounting holes for the grill, although on cars without grills you'll need to cut the carpet to expose them. This thing is made in two parts: 1) A frame to sit behind the chassis section 2) A faceplate covering the same area as the original grill the amp can be screwed onto M4 heat press-in threaded inserts are required to finish and use these pieces, 4 on each part. I use M4x20 to attach the faceplate to the frame and then M4x12 to attach the amp (longer might hit the chassis). The faceplate does not fit on my Ender3 (unless printed at a 45º incline!) so I've also provided a faceplate sliced in two. There is zero tolerance on the slice so will provide a very snug fit but your print may require some work with a knife to mate up. This is for the position behind the left hand seat (passenger seat on UK, Aus/NZ and Japanese cars). You will need to mirror both components to use on the right hand side. As this is going in a car, advise printing with a high temperature filament; I used ASA.
