This is a better version of my previous oil filter tool. The socket connection is not strong enough on a plastic part if real torque is required - unless you reinforce with a metal plate. I added a handle so that you don't need the socket. I have used this and it works well. I left the socket connection point on there, but i will just use that as way to hang it. Ford uses this filter size on pretty much all vehicles with 1.00 1.60 2.00 & 2.50 liter engines. Also pretty common in Chrysler vehicles and most other brands use it some as well. Also, It is possible the socket may fit some other filter brands that are the equivalent size but don't know either way. Some will probably have a different # of facets. This has 15.
