Renault Clio IV - Speaker Adapter 165mm

This is an adapter to mount 165mm speakers in the front doors of a Renault Clio IV - might be compatible with other models as well. It is designed to use M4 threaded inserts to mount the speaker to the adapter. It's a very tight fit, I heated the inserts and then screwed them in the holes. You first need to drill out the rivets to remove the original speaker. Now you can mount the printed speaker adapter with some screws and self locking nuts. There is a slot on the back side which is meant for the speaker cables to route through. I also used some silicone on the back to create a good seal between the adapter and the plate you are mounting it to. Once the adapter ist mounted the speakers can be screwed in with some M4 screws.
