Description
Turbo charged engines build-up carbon in there intake systems and on the back of the valves, as well as the MAF sensor, etc and can cause big performance issue and large maintenance bills. This simple device is installed in the PVC vent line on the rear, passenger side of the valve cover, that leads to below the throttle body. Install with side-spout up. I used the 'solid' version and epoxied on a Schrader valve body so I could cap it with a (metal) valve cap. The 'solid' arm was then drilled with a small drill bit so the red tube from the aerosol Seafoam could be inserted for adding while the engine is running. The 'large hole' variant is for you that want to use the liquid Seafoam, just need to find a cap, like a paint cap, and a small hose clamp. There are many YouTube videos showing how to use Seafoam in Mini's, both liquid and aerosol. Thanks to zacharylaynewilson for drawing the STL's. I printed with ABS, high resolution 0.2mm layer height and solid. Seems pretty darn strong. So far its worked fine. I may do a quick acetone finish to reduce any porosity if it seems to have any (maybe oil seeping out?).
