Subaru WRX Folding Trunk Bag Hook

Update 1/14/2019: replaced the original anchors with a single piece that makes installation much easier. By making the anchor a single piece you can tighten the screws without struggling to hold the anchor in place. Folding bag hook for the trunk of the 2015+ Subaru WRX/STI. May also fit the same era Impreza, however I have been unable to verify. Along the edge of the trunk rook there is a structural member with a series of ~3/4" holes stamped in it. This piece secures to this member and provides a hook to attach bags and other light weight items to prevent them sliding around while driving. Recommend not loading the hook with more than 25lbs worth of items. Hardware required to complete installation: 1. 2x 10-32 screw 0.75" long for anchors 2. 2x 10-32 nylock nuts for anchors 3. 2x #10 washer for anchors 4. 1x 10-32 screw 1.25" long for attaching hook to bracket 5. 1x 10-32 nylock nut for attaching hook to bracket It is recommended to use a nylock nut to prevent the screws backing out with normal vibrations caused by driving. To assemble, 1. press the nuts into the captive recesses in the anchor and bracket. They should take a little bit of pressing, but pop in and hold themselves in place to ease with assembly. 2. Align hook so that the detent feature lines up with the mating pocket on the bracket, it shouldn't be able to be installed the wrong way. 3. Use the 1.25" long screw to attach the hook. You want it just snug enough that there is a little friction when swinging the hook, but not enough that it's difficult to move. 4. slide the anchor up through one of the holes and align with the second. You should be able to get a finger through an adjacent hole to align. 5. Put a washer on each of the 0.75" screws, then put them through the base and thread them up into the anchor on each side. You may need to press on the top of the anchor with a finger from an adjacent hole while you get the screw started. 6. Tighten the two anchor screws. These do not need to be overly tight, just snug enough to hold everything in place. The lock nut should prevent them from backing out. 8. Double check that the hook still swings and clicks into the stored position.
