Just bought a used Toyota Tacoma and the trailer hitch was a bit rusty and ugly. Of course it was missing the OEM plug / hitch cover but I had one from my older totaled Tacoma. I ended up measuring everything off the original OEM hitch plug / cover and redrawing everything in Fusion 360. From there customized it a bit with some of the Toyota logos. Personally I thought the OEM was a bit ugly! I tried to include a bunch of different logos in the STLs but ran out of time... sorry Tundra. Included Designs: - Tacoma - Logo - 4runner - Logo - Toyota Trucks - Logo - TRD - Logo - Toyota Logo - Blank Cover If you plan on making this for yourself... 1. You will also want to make sure your printer is properly calibrated to where the print is nice and tight, since you don't want this thing falling out on the highway! 2. You're on your own since I really only made this for me. 3. And if you plan on popping the hitch cover on and off a lot you may want to look into some kind of flexible filament since popping it in and out will probably wear away the harder plastics quickly. Making this plug too loose to stay in place. The OEM is a type of rubber so a flexible filament would make it even more like the true OEM plug. 4. I added all the drainage and seep holes. If you do decide to make this in PETG you will probably need to use the drainage holes with a flat-head screw driver to pop this thing back off. It's a very tight fit if your printer is properly calibrated! Just be smart and again don't put this on your car or truck if it's loose in any way! I'm including the Fusion 360 file for anyone who wants to customize by extending the inner plug to add some holes for a lock, as well as anyone who wants to use their own logos and or designs. If you make or remix this let me know how it all goes!
