Description

Upon inspecting my '06 Toyota Sequoia's engine bay I noticed a hose came loose from its bracket. The bracket was originally spot welded to a metal tube that connected the intake to the vacuum assist for the brakes. It probably would have been fine bouncing around for a while but it was engineered secured for a reason. My first thought was to get on the web and look for a replacement. Then I thought, maybe this would be a great job for some left over Ninjaflex. I fired up TinkerCad and did the final touches in Sketchup to produce a quick and dirty bracket adapter. It may look a little crude but it sure does the job! It locks nicely in place and the hose has a nice flexible mount point. NOTE: You MUST use a flexible filament as this bracket adapter is meant to stretch slightly over the existing bracket post and lock in place as well as stretch for the the hose insertion. Also when slicing the gap will appear for the hose insertion (tested with Cura and Slic3r). To relieve tension of the hose simply bend the bracket to the rear slightly. P.S. The original part to replace it was around $30: http://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/p/TOYOTA__SEQUOIA/TUBE--HOSE-TO-HOSE--NO1/3976783/447630C011.html Part# 44763A.
