Description

I inherited a Volkswagen Jetta MK5 from a relative and discovered during routine maintenance that one of the headlight dust covers was missing. This allows water to enter the headlight assembly and corrode the electrical connections. After searching high and low for a replacement, and since I was learning FreeCAD, I decided to recreate the part as an exercise. I plan on creating a gasket out of some spray foam to fill the channel around the outer ring for a proper seal. Edit: Added version 1.1 which has a slight angle to the outer wall of the gasket slot. The original design did fit, but I had to exert quite a bit of force to stretch it onto the mouting surface. This version should fit with much less effort. Designed in FreeCAD v0.18, sliced in Cura v3.4.1.
