Description

This is a mount for a Jeep Cherokee that has a bin up on the center of the dash. It is made to connect to a Lisen for magsafe charger through a ball mount. This is designed to hold an iphone 13+ pro model. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYZ78DGM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details The space available for the mount to slip in is very tight and it makes for thin parts. It is [likely] necessary to orient the part for strength. Have the face with the screw hole facing down to make sure the tabs have maximum strength since they are the smallest part. The orientation I've chosen to print is quite slow but makes the thinnest parts as strong as possible. V2.1 rod/sphere: My original print snapped the rod on z-axis of the screw. The rod meeting the ball was also a bit thick which prevented turning the phone enough. In the next rod I added a 35mm M3 Hex Scocket Head Cap Screw which I had on hand from another project. I'm hoping with a thinner rod, better taper, and a metal screw to re-inforce the rod that this will last longer. V2.1 body: I opened up the tolerance on the screw fitting. I could have left it and modified the rod but I felt like the rod was already pretty narrow and the body has a ton of material. Probably a waste. 3mf file has orientation. Print with screw hole facing down. Print Settings Printer brand: Prusa Printer: MINI+ Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes on body [except screw hole]. No on knob. Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 15% on body. 100% on knob. Filament brand: Any Filament color: Any Filament material: PETG (high temp), PC, or other rigid high-temp material. Perimeters: 4 NOTE: Tolerances on screw are too tight for 3d printer. I recommend printing knob with scale of 98% on x/y axis and 100% on z axis. I need to fix this at a later date.
