A planning starting point only; wall count, orientation, and geometry often matter more than infill.

I was looking for a good phone mount for my Audi A6 (2015) and the only options were: suction cup mount, CD player mount, or vent mount. Neither of those were good options for me to position the phone where I wanted and some would interfere with a motorized MMI monitor. Most phone holders have a ball-joint that attaches them to the mount so I designed a clip that clips to the dashboard and has the ball to attach any such holder. I bought iOttie Easy One Touch holder and replaced the arm with the suction cup that came with it with the clip that I designed. Works great and looks awesome. Print ABS or PTEG, not PLA since it will bent during summer heat. Depending on the shrinkage of the filament you are using you may scale it to 101-102 percent if 100% is too tight. I printed it in ABS at 100% and used a couple of silicon stickers to dampen any vibration. Ball needs support when printing and I recommend printing in the default position. Therere are three versions: "MIddle" has the ball in the middle, "Lower" has the ball lower than the middle, and "Bottom" has the ball at the lowest position. Based on the size of your phone, this will allow for different phone heights. My Pixel 3 XL (large phone) in a case clears the motorized screen with the "Bottom" version which is what I am using. * UPDATE 10-30-2019 * I made a V2 of the "Bottom" version which is what I am using now. I made the clip top and bottom a little thicker so they grip better and less prone to summer heat deformation. I also added a version with Audi logo just for fun. I have not printed the one with the logo, it may need to be printed in a different orientation (logo side up) or may require some additional support for the logo. If you print it, let me know how it came out and how you printed it.
