Description

I bought a 2012 MK4 Ford Mondeo and realised there was nowhere sensible to mount a mobile phone. As I had the 'power' start button my trim was all one piece so I decided to design my first thing! It does involve opening the dash a little but this was to stop it from sliding out, I managed to do it but pulling the start button edge trim off and gently unscrewing the 2 screws behind just enough to lean the dashboard forward slightly. Made the base of the ball a little thicker and even though the right side (bottom when printing) of the ball didn't print perfectly it still works well. Add a little black foam pad beneath the bottom support to stop it scratching the dash. Printing: Printed in Black PLA as ABS just kept warping and causing the ball to fail. 100% infill for strength Support from buildplate I used a raft due to the small edges slightly curling off the bed but not required.
