Dies sind Clips die z.B. beim Golf 6 zusätzlichen Halt für die Motordämmung bieten, da sie größer Proportioniert sind als die Originalen und damit kein Klebeband als Befestigung genutzt werden muss. Das Maß ist so gewählt das die Langlöcher der Motorhaubenversteifung genutzt werden können (15,5mm Breite) und so verhindert wird das die Dämmung mit der Zeit runterhängt. Die Temperaturfestigkeit von PLA ist hierfür ausreichend. Die nach oben abgestrahlte Motorwärme schadet den Clips nicht. Es sieht auch deutlich besser aus, als wenn man die Dämmung mit Klebeband an der Haube befestigt.
