Description

Honda Civics from 2016 through 2018 have an annoying issue where the dash AC vents tend to continually tilt up and lack the tension to stay in the desired position. This clip is a quick and easy fix that will lock the driver side AC vent into a horizonal position. It prevents the flaps from tilting up, but allow them to be temporarily tilted down. Print in ASA if possible - PLA lacks the temperature resistance for long term use in hot cars, and ABS lacks the UV resistance useful for a print that gets a lot of time in the sun. I used 100% infill to avoid having pockets of hot air inside the print which may expand, but the difference is likely negligible due to the size of the clip. I've included pictures on where the clip should fit into the AC vent.
