Honda Odyssey Door Hinge Pivot Pin

This was done for a 2015 Honda Odyssey but it may fit many other Honda cars as well. Originally this was a nylon or more likely UHMW pin and it broke which left the grab handle floppy and of course, not able to open the door. I decided to save $$ and try printing a replacement. I printed PETG since this will be exposed to a lot of heat (we have a dark grey van). It has been successful so far (just over a year now since I have installed it). It has a flat section on the head of the pin, that side is meant to face down. It is vitally important that the orientation of the pin be such that the layers be 90 degrees opposed to the rotation of the pin. If the pin is printed with the head flat on the build plate it probably won't last long. Due to the orientation, you must use health supports. I printed 100% and a.1 layer. If you can go smaller, I figure it would be even better. I did grease it up real good and drill a hole in the end for a clip to fit in. Any clip to retain it would be fine, I just used what I had laying around. I didn't put a hole in the model so you will have to locate and drill your hole for the retaining clip. Be careful during reinstallation of the handle into the door since there is a shim plate between the hinge assembly and the door that can fall into the abyss of the internal door. I would use a strong magnet wrapped in microfiber on the outside of the van to hold the shim in place while reinstalling the hinge.
