3DPrintedCarPartDescription
Hopefully Hyundai will enable wireless phone projection for CarPlay / Android Auto at some point, but right now you have to plug a phone into the USB socket at the front of the vehicle. This holder was designed around my iPhone 12 in a Tech 21 case, but I expect it will fit plenty of other phones. The cable insert needs to be glued to the holder with a few drops of cyanoacrylate. The phone lead can then be glued in place, making sure it sticks out the right amount to make a good contact with the phone. The holder can then be stuck in place with double sided adhesive pads as shown in the pictures. I am now able to insert the phone into the holder and CarPlay is automatically launched. Happy enough for now but still looking forward / hoping for a wireless solution one of these days!
