Mazda MX-5 Miata (or similar '99 era Mazda) DIN HTC One M7 Holder

Since air vent based mobile phone holders aren't exactly suitable for an MX-5 / Miata, this is the alternative I came up with. The bracket is designed to fit a HTC One M7 (with a medium sized case) in landscape orientation in front of your empty DIN pocket/cubby space. To check if your phone will fit: Max width: 141.1mm Due to the curved back, there are two depth measurements, phone may not need to reach lowest point: Max depth (lowest point): approx 8mm Max depth (tallest point): approx 12.2mm As this is a two part print, new cradles can be designed for other phones if requested. The DIN bracket should fit Mazdas with the same style DIN pocket/cubby area such as the 323 Protege (47.1mm), unfortunately I only have an NB MX-5 on hand to test. I made mine as tall as possible so that it locks in with a satisfying click, but this may not be possible if there is no room for a bit of flex in your DIN pocket piece. Printing Instructions: - Print in the orientation shown in the photos with the base down for both parts. - The cradle will require supports for the interlocking mechanism. Depending on how you do your supports, this may need a raft. - Definitely print in ABS. My fourth prototype in PLA was left in 55 Celsius heat and shrank significantly. If you print one, I'd love to hear your feedback. New cradles and refinement are planned. Just don't expect to be reading emails with the phone down there - this is more suited to hands free operation with buttons close to hand if needed. Safety first!:).
