Summary This phone dock for the Mazda MX5 NA is inspired by DStBone's work. I build the model from the ground up, based on the model that DStBone made. This model is made for an Oneplus 6T with a case and usb c charging, but any phone should fit, as long as it's smaller than that. Changelog v1.1 - Added a version with a cup holder - Currently testing a way to avoid warping at warm summer days (more info soon) v1.0 - space for an NFC tag - you don't have to cut any holes for the charger Printing the dock 1. Make sure you get yourself a nfc tag card 2. If you don't want to use the nfc tag, use an old credit card as support or just print supports 3. start the dock print and put in the nfc tag as soon as the printer starts printing the fill lines. 4. let it stay there until the print finishes. How to install 1. print both the dock and the clips 2. use super glue to glue them together 3. if you want to use the charger, get yourself one of these usb-c charging 90 degree thing 4. place it according to your phone's thickness (so you can slide your phone in easily) 5. unscrew your 'middle console' so you can fit you cable through 6. you can place the cable behind the middle console, all the way to the ash tray 7. use the holes in the ash tray to fit your cable through 8. Plug the cable into the dock and click your dock in the ash tray Why did you add an NFC tag? I added this NFC tag to enable the Wi-Fi hotspot and bluetooth on my phone so it connects to my android radio. Let me know if you would like to know how I exactly did this.
