3DPrintedCarPartDescription
Lots of Tesla Enthusiasts have been talking about adding wireless/induction charging capability to their new vehicles. Since Tesla doesn't offer an official solution for this, I went ahead and threw something together! This insert fits right under the rubber non-slip mat (included with the vehicle), located in the upper center console of Model 3. Simply remove the included USB cables (Lightning or mini USB) and place this insert under the mat. The cutouts are designed to fit a pair of "EnergyPad Qi wireless Charger Charging Pad"s, which you can order from Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075Q97P9T/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_wArxBb91F3E24 After inserting the Qi charging pucks, run the USB cables through the channels in the backing of the console lid, and plug into the USB ports underneath. If you want to prevent the insert from sliding around, I suggest placing a small bit of double sided tape under each corner of this part. Good luck! Note: Aug 09, 2018 - Uploaded two new variants, as the silicone insert in some of the newer Model 3s have two additional 'nubs' along the sides. One of these variants is specific for those who only want one wireless charger in their Model 3.
