Description

There were other trim clips out there but none of them what I needed. This goes on my Toyota Rav4, under the hood. It holds the plastic trim to the metal frame. When I changed out my battery, 2 of them broke, (the black ones are the original, the blue are the tests). I certainly didn't want to go and pay dealership or parts store prices when I have a perfectly good 3D printer. I printed this on my CTC Dual Bizer, running Sailfish 7(something). I printed it in ABS. I also printed them sideways, not strait up and down. If you print them strait up, they will just break, even in ABS. I also printed with 100% infill since they are small parts. Basically, the smaller pin goes into the outer hole. It then separates when passing through the other end and locks in place in the notch, (the notch is small, but it's there, and it seems to hold just fine). You put it on about half way, then when it is inserted all the way, it widens the lower half and keeps it from pulling out. It took several tries to make it work, but when it worked, it worked. Hope this helps someone else that might need one. I designed this using TinkerCad, (Thank you TinkerCad!).
